Rogers, Another Company That Prefers Money Over People

Yesterday, Rogers released a press release stating that certain internet packages would be changed. There are only two packages that would be changed, Lite and Extreme, both involving the download limits. The Lite package has a limit of 15GB instead of 25GB and the overage fee would be $4 instead of $2.50. Also the Extreme package download cap was downgraded from 90GB to 80GB. Existing customers are not affected byu this change. This has come a day after Netflix announced that their service would be coming to Canada. Rogers has a similar service which is Rogers On Demand Online. To me this looks like a major cash grab by a  major corporation that does not care about its customers. Rogers is forcing people to upgrade their accounts so they could watch movies online from Netflix. This change by Rogers might hinder the success of Netflix, but if Netflix is successful, Rogers On Demand Online would not exist anymore. If you would like to keep track of how much you downloaded, go to this link and download the program.
